We leaned your guitar case against the coffee table and left it there. Didn’t open it until a month later and found your old lyrics and notations for Tyler, almost twenty years ago. And just like that all the systems start to fail and the dominos go collapsing; Pandemic, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, your city in the news every day, autonomous zone by the park. Christine & I are locked inside our small apartment and still get sick. Watch TV, waiting for police to bulldoze the park like they did Zuccotti those years ago. Remembering October 1st.
