14. Magnetic Opening [Looking Through the Sky] Seeing myself and seeing you, then seeing myself and seeing you. A brotherly kinship between us now, born of grief and without kin. Driving through the rainy morning to your mom’s house where you are standing out on the front porch and running to embrace you as you crash down. Screaming for sanctuary in our flooded basement, unable to move forward. Recordings of your mom’s radio show, reggae grooves looping on the car stereo, just to hear her voice. Downloads of your radio show, looping in my living room, folk and metal, just to hear your voice. Struggling every day to find the smallest spark to continue. You continue introducing me to new music.
